We are delighted to announce that our Durham International Schools family is expanding again with the opening of Durham School Dubai in August 2022! What began in England in 1414 with the founding of Durham School has become an innovative group of educational institutions spread across three continents. While each school flourishes in its own unique identity, we are all dedicated to offering students an education built around aspiration for achievement, respect for others and ‘Confidence for Life’.
The announcement of Durham Dubai follows the highly successful openings of Durham Qatar in 2019, and our own school, Durham Kenya, which launched here in Nairobi in 2021. Our newest branch school in Dubai boasts a fully built facility with exceptional resources and the capacity for 1,700 students.
Continuing Durham International School’s reputation for excellence in staffing, Mr Mark Atkins will serve as the founding Principal of Durham School Dubai. Mr Atkins brings 35 years of experience, spread across the UK, India, China, Malaysia, Europe and the Middle East, including previously setting up and heading schools in Dubai.
