Ian brings nearly two decades of experience teaching the British PE curriculum up to IGCSE and A Level. He graduated with a BA in Sport and Exercise Sciences from the University of Birmingham and recently completed a Master’s in Education and Leadership from Exeter University. Ian’s teaching career spans three years at Stonyhurst International School in Penang, six years in Taiwan, and over a decade in the UK, where he taught at a grammar school in Shropshire. He has held leadership roles such as Head of Year, Head of House, and Head of Department, as well as organising whole-school trips, events, and competitions. An avid sportsman, Ian has a rich history in hockey, having captained and coached numerous teams, played in the National League, and represented his county at various levels. Ian will be joined in Kenya by his wife, Colette, who will be teaching in the Prep School.
